Portugal lies in the southwestern Europe and is one of the four countries of the Iberian Peninsula. In the north and east bordering Spain while in south and west bordering Mediterranean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean respectively. The country's currency is the Euro, which replaced Escudo on January 1, 1999. Its population is close to 10,200,000, with 70% of them residing in the 7 largest cities (Lisbon, Porto, Braga, Aveiro, Faro, Coimbra, Viseu).
